July 4th
In June, so much of my life went up in smoke. So, to celebrate a new month and a new beginning, I go my smoker out and made a feast.

Time to remember you forgot to clean the grill last summer, try and replant all the grass your dog killed with her lethal stream, and, most importantly, enjoy that sunshine that finally broke through the clouds…but for only 15 minutes at a time because your pale skin forgot how to be outside.
April 14-20
Neil and I’s favorite clamming beach opened up for a Surprise Spring Dig! This is what we did with our weekend’s worth of clams.
It’s a week after Thanksgiving and you’re staring down the tower of leftover containers in your refrigerator, coming to grips, once again, that your too-much gene has taken over and realizing you had no right to get the 17 pound turkey for two people and a dog. Why did you make an entire 9x13 pan of stuffing? Who needs an entire gallon of mashed potatoes? No one person could possibly eat 3 cups of cranberry sauce and, what’s that, oh yeah an extra pie crust you made because you were convinced you’d need it. You didn’t need it then or now but you made your pie crust bed and you’ve got to lie in it.
Does this sound like you? Good, because it’s exactly what happened to me and I’m here to help.
Grab your butter and bowls, folks, because IT’S SOUP SEASON! Here’s your Start Guide for Fall’s best soups and their accompanying carbs.
I f*cking love Fall. It’s literally everything I cherish in one season. One very special thing I love about Fall: Barbecue. One BBQ hurtle I’ve always been afraid to jump: Brisket. With a ton of help from my brother in law, Nick, and pestering from my husband, I dove head first into the slow and low world of Brisket and the results were life changing.
Ever form an entire meal around your craving for biscuits? Neither have I. Anyways, here’s a delicious and nutritious Roasted Chicken Dinner that just so happens to also include biscuits. (You’re welcome).
Summer is almost over but not before we have one last long weekend to pop open a final bottle of Costco-brand White Wine, to lose one last game of corn-hole, to eat salads so we feel healthy before we chug multiple beers on the beach and pretend it didn’t happen, and to gobble up all of the delicious summer seafood before it swims back home.
Labor Day is a week away and I’ve got some of the best and most unique burger ideas for you to leave your family in awe of your cooking prowess, to leave you standing like a god above the grill, to provide you the confidence that you could, in fact, Beat Bobby Flay at everything in the world, and to prove that you are actually the major and key-holder to Flavor Town.
I was lucky enough to, quite literally, galavant through Europe with my best friends for two weeks. Here are my recreations of some of the best food we had on our trip!
It’s a new year and you’re still the same old you but with an invigorated willingness to eat as many vegetables as it takes for you to feel like you’re accomplishing your new year’s health goals. I’m right there with you, friend.
